Psi Chi Induction & Members

Each semester, the University of North Georgia Gainesville Campus Chapter of Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology, proudly welcomes a new group of students into lifetime membership. Founded in 1929, Psi Chi recognizes and promotes excellence in the science and application of psychology and has inducted more than 900,000 lifetime members around the world.

Induction into Psi Chi represents a significant academic achievement. Membership is reserved for students who have demonstrated excellence in their academic work and met rigorous eligibility standards in psychology. Once inducted, students become members for life, joining an international community of scholars, researchers, professionals, faculty, and students committed to advancing the science of psychology.

Beyond recognizing academic achievement, Psi Chi membership provides opportunities for professional and scholarly development through research, leadership, networking, publications, scholarships, awards, and grants. Membership is an accomplishment students can carry with them beyond graduation and throughout their academic and professional careers.
